This weekend that is a lot on the line for playoff hopefuls. However, Watkins Glen also has some fun new paint schemes for us to look at. The NASCAR regular season is winding down. Just The Glen and Daytona stand between the field and the playoffs.

Even with the season getting down to the final three months, we’ve got some new sponsors and looks in the Cup Series. Companies are apparently more than happy to jump on the NASCAR bandwagon.

For Watkins Glen, we’ve got three Toyotas and two Chevys. A couple of names that normally aren’t on the list here. So, let’s get into it.

Top-5 paint schemes for Watkins Glen

Austin Dillon – Okuma Chevy
Richard Childress Racing has some great looks week in and week out. However, this is my favorite Austin Dillon scheme. The Kyle Busch Mark III Chevy can be thrown in as an honorable mention this week. In my opinion, a blue hood would really set this scheme over the top. Of course, the Xfinity schemes are classic and clean as always.

Martin Truex Jr. – Siemens Toyota
An alternate Truex scheme? Oh yeah! This week Siemens jumps on board with the 19 team and I really like this look. A lot of Martin Truex Jr.’s schemes are warm colors, reds, oranges, etc. So, this blue, symmetrical design will look awesome on the twists and turns of Watkins Glen.

Christopher Bell – DeWalt Concrete Total Solutions Toyota
We are not done with the Joe Gibbs Racing schemes yet! Christopher Bell has a little tweak on the usual DeWalt design. A classic look with a little extra flair, I love it. The 20 shouldn’t be slept on this weekend. If Bell has a fast car out of the gate and qualifies well, he’ll be involved.

Tyler Reddick – Toyota SmartPath Toyota
So, why not continue with our Toyota train? Tyler Reddick is a talented road course driver. While he lacked speed last week, he might find it at Watkins Glen. The SmarthPath Toyota is a great black and red scheme and should be fun to see on the course.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Sugarlands/Eggo Brunch in a Jar Sippin’ Cream Chevy
Now this one is a mouthful to say. But the Sippin’ Cream Chevy is fun, creative, and it makes me a little hungry. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has already cut a local ad for the latest Sugarlands creation. I’m not sure how I feel about the product itself, but good for Ricky. He’s looking forward to the playoffs this year!

While that’s fun, here is the actual car itself.
