Report: Tramel Walthour agrees to UDFA deal with Baltimore Ravens

Former Georgia defensive lineman Tramel Walthour has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent, per report.

Walthour spent six seasons at the collegiate level, including five at Georgia and one at Hutchinson Community College. He originally committed to the Bulldogs for the 2018 season, but didn’t arrive on campus until 2019 after enrolling at HCC for his true freshman season. Walthour joined the team the next season, where he stayed for the remainder of his eligibility.

During the 2022 season, Walthour would get his first taste of consistent playing time was a Bulldog in 2022, starting 13 of 15 games for the Bulldogs in 2022, racking up 23 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

He then returned for his super-senior season in 2023, where he recorded statistics in seven games where he logged 11 total tackles during the season. He capped off his collegiate career with a sack against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has called Walthour the “consummate team player,” and makes the most out of every snap.

Before heading out of Columbus, Walthour penned a message to the Bulldog faithful that watched him grow up between the hedges over the last half decade.

“I want to give thanks to the University of Georgia for giving me an opportunity to live out my dreams,” Walthour wrote on social media in his goodbye message to the Bulldogs. “To the coaches and staff members that believed in me and poured countless hours into helping mold me to become a better individual, thank you all. To my family, thank y’all for all the unconditional support. I appreciate y’all more than ever. To my teammates, going to battle with y’all day in and day out has been a blessing.

“I’ll cherish every moment we spent together, good and bad. I wouldn’t trade any of y’all for nothing. Love 4L. Lastly, to the most ELITE fans ever, thank you. Thank you Dawg Nation for the unlimited amount of support. You all have made playing in Sanford Stadium an unforgettable experience.”

The 6-foot-3 280-pound newly acquired addition to the Baltimore Ravens played for a Bulldog in high school as well. The late Kirk Warner was his head coach at Liberty County in Hinesville, GA, and was also teammates with former Georgia safety and All-SEC performer Richard LeCounte, who was a fifth-round selection by the Cleveland Browns in 2021.
