Travis Hunter deactivates Instagram amid online criticism of fiancé
Travis Hunter has gone dark amidst recent off-field drama in his relationship with Leanna Lenee, his fiancé.
Following the latest issue online, Hunter has apparently de-activated his account on Instagram.
With that, Shedeur Sanders has also taken to social media in defense of his teammate.
“All y’all athletes, entertainers, artist etc if y’all genuine trying to holla at trav y’all know how to get in touch with him or someone around,” Sanders tweeted last night on Sunday. “At this point y’all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool.”

Again, this comes after almost a month of critiquing of the relationship, which has become far more public as of late, of Hunter and Lenee. One moment was an argument that cameras caught as she spurned him on the field after Colorado’s regular-season finale against Oklahoma State. Another was what was as an apparent indifferent reaction by her to her fiancé winning The Heisman Trophy. Later on while in New York, she also was taking issue with him doing photos with female fans at an event.
With that, Lenee had posted on TikTok in order to address her side of this. However, she too has since deactivated that account.

Hunter was the Heisman winner, which also hasn’t helped the situations at all considering the spotlight on him, with what he did this fall as a two-way player in Boulder. He had 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns as a receiver who also won The Biletnikoff Award. Then, as a corner, he had 31 tackles, 11 deflections, four interceptions, and a forced fumble. Now, Hunter is all but certain to be one of the top selections, if not the first taken overall, in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Needless to say that this month has been a bit messy within this relationship just based on what’s out there and how it’s being reacted to. However, it’s also, while being quite public, no one else’s business to an extent, which is why Hunter seems to have gotten off of the platform altogether at this time.
