Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce jumped at a chance for revenge on Sunday, calling out the mayor of Cincinnati directly after their win over the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game. Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval released a video ahead of the game this week that claimed the Kansas City stadium was known as “Burrowhead,” and that Joe Burrow was required to take a paternity test to determine if he was Patrick Mahomes’ father.

After beating the Bengals and earning a trip to the Super Bowl, Kelce couldn’t hold back when given a chance to address the jokes about his team — quoting The Rock’s famous WWE trash talk.

“How about this beautiful trophy? Hey I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor… know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!”

Kelce then continued his outburst of emotion by bursting into the chorus of the Beastie Boys’ classic song “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party).”

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton coined the Burrowhead phrase earlier in the week and it appeared to take on a life of its own in the heads of the Chiefs players. Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones later referenced the moniker in a press conference by saying “see y’all at Burrowhead Stadium.”

During their chances on stage after receiving the conference championship trophy, both Kelce and Mahomes took the chance to ask the Kansas City fans what the name of their home stadium was still.

Kelce also spoke about how they fed off the rivalry’s energy coming into the game on Sunday, commenting in an on-field interview that the Bengals gave them plenty of bulletin board material but didn’t come to play on game day. Now, Kelce and coach Andy Reid are both ready to play against Reid’s former team in Super Bowl LVII — as they face the Philadelphia Eagles for the championship.
