Travis Kelce is leaning on girlfriend Taylor Swift to get him through the pain of losing Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Of course, Swift is likely very supportive of Kelce on and off the field, but Kelce pivoted to her music. You know when you’re going through a rough patch, you listen to music that’ll fit your mood to get through the day?

That’s what Kelce is doing at this moment while he mulls a return in 2025 or retirement.

“Jason, the only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first, right?” Kelce said to his brother on Wednesday’s edition of New Heights. “I listen to music that is very telling of my mood … I just listen to Taylor’s music. She has something for everything.”

Kelce, a future Hall of Fame tight end, hit a new level of stardom when he and Swift announced they were in a relationship. While it seems like Kelce’s career is set in stone, he’s bene honest about his competitive fire and likely not wanting to end his career on a blowout Super Bowl loss.

But, it seems he’ll have way more opportunities in the entertainment industry while being attached to Swift. Heck, there were odds if Kelce was going to propose to Swift after the Super Bowl!

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Brett Veach said that Kelce is “fired up” about entering the final year of his contract and playing. That would mean that he is set to return to Kansas City for the 2025 regular season.

This came after the questions about Kelce and his future have been mounting. It’s also on the heels of head coach Andy Reid admitting that he didn’t know what the future would hold for Kelce and he, like all other players, was told to take some time off after the season came to an end.

Kansas City had reportedly given Kelce a deadline for making his decision. After all, they’d need to begin to find a way to replace him if he were to decide to move on from his playing career and forgo the final season of his contract. On top of that, he has openly discussed that he needs time to decide what to do with his future.

“I’m gonna take some time to figure it out,” Kelce said. “And I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, that it’s gonna be a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-assing it, and I’m fully here for them. I think I can play, it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.”
