Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have sucked up all the available oxygen in the sports media ecosphere this week. But Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban suggested on ESPN’s First Take on Thursday that Swift, one of the worlds biggest pop stars, should dump the Chiefs tight end for one of his players.

And while Cuban’s request for Swift to dump Kelce was clearly tongue-in-cheek, it gave an opening for Kelce. He took to Twitter to see if Cuban would sign him to a 10-day deal on the Mavericks.

“Just sign me to a ten day,” Kelce wrote, along with an emoji of a face with sunglasses on, in a direct reply to the video clip.

Cuban, on the show, made the brief quip. He’s likely well aware of the marketing and sales boon that Swift’s presence brought to the Kansas City Chiefs. Seemingly always looking to get an edge, Cuban made his tongue-in-cheek appeal.

“Taylor, sorry if you’re listening Travis. Break up with him, I got a bunch of good-looking single guys that play for the Dallas Mavericks. I gotchu,” Cuban said.

Kelce, for his part, has expressed his love for hoops on his podcast with his brother, Jason. The two differ in opinion on if NFL players could succeed in the NBA or vice versa, a topic that’s come up more than once. Kelce thinks it could be done, while his brother disagrees.

While it’s likely just Twitter fun, Kelce might actually be willing to give it a go if Cuban ever actually offered up a deal.

Swift will reportedly attend the next Chiefs game vs. the Jets

Swift is reportedly set to attend the Week 4 “Sunday Night Football” showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) and New York Jets (1-2).

Swift, the pop music superstar, will be in attendance at MetLife Stadium, one week after she was in Kansas City in support of Kelce. The two have been rumored to be dating for weeks and were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium together after the Chiefs’ 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears (0-3) in Week 3. Swift watched the game from a suite next to Kelce’s mom.

With Swift in attendance, expect the Swifties to come out in full force for this one, as they did this past Sunday. FOX drew 24.3 million viewers for the telecast of the Chiefs-Bears game, making it the most-watched NFL game of the week. With the Chiefs and Jets being a standalone game in primetime, NBC could be in store for blockbuster ratings.

In addition to the NFL and TV networks, Kelce has felt the Swift effect in full force. Kelce’s No. 87 jersey has seen a 400% increase in sales and he has gained more than 300,000 followers on social media. Kelce now owns a top-5 selling jersey in the NFL after the bump from Swifties across the country.
