Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift makes surprise appearance on SNL sketch
You knew Saturday Night Live was going to mock Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift sometime during their season 49 premiere. But the Chiefs tight end was in on the joke.
We’ll explain. The SNL crew, as they often do, become the analysts on Fox Sports NFL Sunday. In the first full sketch of the evening, you could see Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Strahan along with host Curt Menefee.
Menefee pointed out that Travis Kelce and the Chiefs already had played their game, (They beat the Broncos 19-8 on Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football). It turns out that all the former football players (and the coach) on the panel were huge Swifties.
Suddenly, no one wanted to talk sports. They just wanted to sing Taylor Swift songs and show off their friendship bracelets.
So Kenan Thompson, as Menefee, ended the segment by saying that when the show returned from commercial they’d talk to someone who really wanted to talk football.

That’s when we saw Travis Kelce, who agreed. Let’s talk football. Go ahead, relive the funny moment.
As it turns out, Kelce didn’t come alone to Saturday Night Live. Appearing later in the show to introduce musical guest, Ice Spice, Taylor Swift also made an appearance on the sketch comedy show. Although, unlike Kelce, she didn’t do any bits. Still, clearly, the iconic new couple are enjoying each other’s company in a variety of locations and events and with the Chiefs having already played they get some extra time this week.
Taylor Swift has watched Travis Kelce in person 3 times
If you haven’t kept up with the biggest pop culture story in the country, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may or may not be dating. We do know they’re in some sort of relationship. And Thursday night, Swift sat with Donna Kelce, Travis’ mother, in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift has watched three of the past four Chiefs games in person. Her young female fans are flipping on the televised games in hopes of seeing her, giving the already popular NFL a bigger ratings boost.
Travis Kelce already is familiar with SNL. He hosted the show back in March. Even big brother, Jason, was part of a skit. Critics and fans loved Kelce, who seems like a natural when it comes to acting.
