Travis Kelce: Young fan who fell from stands should 'sue the f***ing Panthers'
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has some advice for the kid who fell out of the stands and was caught by defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton during the game against the Carolina Panthers. On the New Heights podcast. Travis Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce that the young fan should sue the Panthers.
“Dude, he should f***ing go to school with a neck brace and sue the f***ing Panthers,” Travis said. “Get rich quick kid.”
Travis Kelce also said that he saw the incident as it happened. “I actually saw this and I just kept it moving,” he revealed. “I felt bad after. I’m like over to the left.” Kelce also said he hadn’t seen the video of the incident until now and began laughing while watching it. He added, “I don’t know who the brainiac was to cut the railing right there. You see how there’s like that little gap? The f*** is that for?”
The incident happened after the Chiefs defeated the Panthers 30-27 in Charlotte. Chiefs fans were around the railings to greet the players, leading to one young fan losing his footing and slipping over the edge of the stands. Thankfully, Wharton was there to catch the kid before any injuries occurred.

Travis Kelce makes history in the Chiefs-Panthers game
The Chiefs-Panthers game was memorable for Kelce as he surpassed Antonio Gates to become the tight end with the third-most receiving yards in NFL history. Kelce has 11,854 yards and is closing in one former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez who is No. 1 on the list with 15,127.
Earlier in the year, Kelce spoke to ABC News about staying true to who he is despite the attention he receives on and off the field. “When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce said. “I’ve always been a very grounded guy, you know, it might not come off like that when I’m playing football, but off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road, because you just never know what opportunities are going to present themselves.”
