Tre’Davious White is returning to the Buffalo Bills for the 2025 NFL season. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the veteran cornerback has agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $6.8 million.

Schefter said that White’s agent Kevin Conner and Bills general manager Brandon Beane made progress on a new deal during the league meetings before finalizing the deal on Thursday. White returns to Buffalo, where played from 2017-2023.

The Bills selected Tre’Davious White at No. 27 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He finished second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2017 after recording 69 tackles, four interceptions and 18 passes defended. He had a breakout season in 2019, tallying 58 tackles, one sack, six interceptions and 17 passes defended. White was named to his first Pro Bowl and was selected to the All-Pro First Team.

In 2020, White was named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro Second Team after posting 57 tackles three interceptions and 11 passes defended. He dealt with injuries the next three seasons, which led to the Bills releasing him in March of last year.

The Bills cut Tre’Davious White after the 2023 season

Shortly after White was cut by the Bills, he signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in just four games for the Rams before the team traded him to the Baltimore Ravens in November. White played in seven games with no starts in Baltimore and notched 10 tackles with three passes defended.

In April of last year, White explained why he signed with the Rams. “Very transparent, just very authentic, the plan that they have in place,” White said, per ESPN. “I’m a guy that’s very strategic, with my approach of how I would want my rehab to go, being that I’ve had an ACL before and I know how rehab can go. So I was doing my homework. This team has rehab guys that have been very successful with the Achilles.”

White will add secondary depth and experience to a Bills team that has Super Bowl dreams. Last year, the Bills missed out on playing in the Super Bowl, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.
