Florida State fans are understandably upset by the College Football Playoff Committee’s decision on Sunday to exclude the Seminoles from the CFP despite their perfect record and ACC title. Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons, however, was enraged that the Georgia Bulldogs won’t be back in the playoff following back-to-back national titles after they lost to Alabama on Saturday.

After the rankings reveal, Parsons couldn’t believe that the Bulldogs were out, tweeting that college football is getting “worst and worst.” Alabama alum Trevon Diggs was quick to defend the committee’s choice with his alma mater coming in at No. 4.

“It’s the 4 best team” Diggs said. “(Georgia is) not one of them!”

Apparently, Parsons believes the Bulldogs are the best team in the country, even over No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 Washington.

“Georgia is (better than) Michigan, Washington, and (debatably) Bama!! when Bama was number 1 didn’t Bama still make it after they lost?!!” Parsons responded.

“Michigan would blow Georgia out,” Diggs clapped back. “Georgia hasn’t played nobody all year.. They can’t beat Washington either. I feel like it’s timing with everything.”

Nick Saban defends Alabama’s spot in CFP

Although Alabama lost a game this season and Florida State did not, the Crimson Tide also knocked off the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC championship game – giving them one of the most impressive wins of any team this season. It was controversial of the CFP committee to pick Alabama over FSU and to not include Georgia, but Nick Saban believes his team earned it.

“It was a tough night,” Saban said on the College Football Playoff Selection Show. “I didn’t sleep a lot because there’s a lot of good teams out there. Florida State is certainly a good team and to go undefeated in their league and, it’s unfortunate that some good team had to get left out, but I really think that our team earned the right to be here.”

“Beat number one Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, they’ve worked hard all year to improve, and I’m really proud of what they’ve been able to accomplish together as a team,” Saban concluded.
