Trevon Diggs injury: Dallas Cowboys CB misses practice with undisclosed issue
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs could miss the team’s Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons due to an injury. Per Jon Machota of The Athleitc, Diggs has an “undisclosed injury” and missed practice on Wednesday.
Through seven games this season, Diggs has recorded 28 tackles, one interception and four passes defended. The former Alabama Crimson Tide star only played in two games after tearing his ACL during practice.
After the Cowboys’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, Diggs was seen confronting a reporter for a social media post that questioned him during a play where 49ers tight end George Kittle made a big reception. On Monday Diggs spoke about the incident to fellow teammate Micah Parsons on his podcast.
“I just felt like it was unnecessary,” Diggs said. “I just felt like he was trying to use my name for clicks. After the game, I just happened to see it. I looked, clicked on it, seen who it was, and was like ‘Oh, he’s right here.’ I just saw you. So, I went up to him and spoke how I felt.”

Trevon Diggs felt ‘a lot of emotions’ during the confrontation with reporter
Diggs admitted his emotions got the best of him when he was lashing out at the reporter. “Felt a lot of emotions,” Diggs said. “Just losing, coming out of the game, fresh off the loss. But I’m a competitor so you know I wanted to win. Just a lot of emotions and I kind of let my emotions get the best of me. At the end of the day, it doesn’t make it right to be saying anything or trying to throw dirt on your name or make it seem like you’re doing a bad job.”
The Cowboys selected Diggs in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In his career, the 26-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl twice and the All-Pro First Team in 2021 when he led the NFL in interceptions.
