Trevon Diggs injury update: Cowboys announce DB's status after heading to locker room vs. Giants

Early in the fourth quarter, Trevon Diggs headed straight to the locker room with the Dallas Cowboys training staff. The franchise later announced he is questionable after dealing with dehydration.
Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung confirmed Diggs was receiving an IV after cramping up on a play with just over 11 minutes to play at MetLife Stadium. The Giants ended up kicking a field goal to end the drat and cut the Cowboys lead to 17-15.
Diggs’ departure created question marks at cornerback for the Cowboys, who are looking to avoid a 1-3 start to the season. He entered Thursday’s game with 16 tackles and an interception through the first three games. However, he returned to the field with just over seven minutes to play in the game.
Trevon Diggs’ injury was the latest scare for Dallas, which also saw Micah Parsons leave in the second quarter. He immediately headed to the injury tent after the official pulled him off the field, and Hartung said he was being looked at for a possible stinger. He later returned to the game, but was in and out after doing so.
As Parsons went to make the tackle on Wan’Dale Robinson, teammate Mazi Smith came in to help and appeared to hit him in the helmet. Afterward, the referee took him to the sideline, where he met with the training staff. The team later said he had a neck injury but would continue to play in the game.

“Micah Parsons was evaluated for a neck injury in the medical tent,” Hartung said later in the second quarter. “The concern, I’m told, was a stinger, which is irritation of a nerve at the end of the neck. So that helps explain why they needed so many medical professionals in the tent with him to get him to go ahead back on the field.”
Then, DeMarcus Lawrence headed to the locker room after limping off the field in the third quarter. He was listed as questionable with a foot injury and was seen on the sidelines with his helmet, as well.
The Cowboys added another field goal to their tally in the fourth quarter, making it a 20-15 lead over the Giants with time ticking away. They had touchdowns from CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aubrey, but field goals were the name of the game for both teams.
