There was concern that Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs might miss Sunday’s game against the Steelers after he appeared on the injury report on Thursday with an ankle injury.

However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones apparently expects Diggs to be good to go this weekend, according to reporter Jon Machota.

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan made it sound like CB Trevon Diggs, who was limited yesterday because of an ankle injury, is expected to play Sunday at Pittsburgh. ‘He gave a us a little scare there yesterday at practice,'” Machota posted on Twitter.

Sunday’s game is a huge one for the Cowboys, who are off to a 2-2 start to the season. Dallas is banged up, but it seems as though they should at least have Trevon Diggs available. Diggs was listed as a limited participant for Thursday’s practice.

A few other big-time names are dealing with issues heading into the Steelers matchup. You can check out the entire Thursday injury report here. Completely bolded lines were players added to the report on Thursday after not being there Wednesday.

Diggs has been healthy for the entire 2024 season but has popped up on previous injury reports. Thankfully for Dallas, the former All-Pro cornerback has played in all four games, recording three PBUs, 18 tackles, and an interception during the season opener against Cleveland.

The Cowboys have already begun the season without another All-Pro corner, DaRon Bland. He was placed on injured reserve to start the season and is still set to miss a few weeks. Bland made up for the absence of Diggs last year after a torn ACL hampered the former second-round pick.
