WATCH: Trevon Diggs reveals trash talk in camp with Dak Prescott

Trevon Diggs and Dak Prescott may be leaders on the Cowboys, but that doesn’t mean they can’t chirp each other at camp.

Like many opposing quarterbacks throughout the NFL, Prescott has avoided throwing in the vicinity of Diggs. Still, the former Alabama star wants to get some reps, so he revealed how he gets the Cowboys quarterback to throw the football his way.

“I got to talk a little trash to get him to throw it,” stated Diggs. “But he threw it.”

Additionally, the star defensive back added the vocabulary he uses like a snake-charmer on Prescott.

“Throw the ball this way,” revealed Diggs. “I need some reps, I need some work.”

Afterwards, the former Alabama star stated that he’s picked Prescott off twice thus far, so it’s evident his trash talk has been working on the former Mississippi State star.

Dak Prescott now knows what many other NFL quarterbacks have already found out — don’t throw the ball in the vicinity of Trevon Diggs, even in camp.

Trevon Diggs wins ASWA Pro Athlete of the Year

Trevon Diggs is being recognized for his outstanding 2021-22 season, awards the Alabama Sports Writers Association Pro Athlete of the Year on Monday.

“Following his standout season while leading the Dallas Cowboys’ secondary during the 2021 NFL season, Diggs was named the Pro Athlete of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association on Monday,” wrote Christopher Walsh of Bama Central.

Diggs made a name for himself last season with the Cowboys, leading the NFL with 11 interceptions. That total was the highest in 40 years, and put the Alabama product on the map as one of the league’s best young players.

In just his second season, Diggs earned his first Pro Bowl appearance and All-Pro selection. He was also named the league’s Most Improved Player by the PFWA, sharing the honor with Atlanta’s Cordarelle Patterson.

Moreover, former Crimson Tide football stars have dominated the award over recent seasons, as Diggs is the fifth product of Nick Saban’s program to capture the award in the last six seasons. Additionally, the honor snaps back-to-back victories from Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry.

When Trevon Diggs switched from a wide receiver to a defensive back at Alabama, it’s doubtful this amount of success was expected. Nevertheless, the Cowboys star is proving why he’s such an amazing player every time he steps on the field.
