For some reason, Trevor Lawrence decided to hop on social media, Saturday. The Jaguars quarterback, posting for only the second time this month, went after the “analysts.”

We’re not sure why Lawrence felt the need to post on X (formerly known as Twitter). After all, Jacksonville has won four straight games, including Thursday night’s victory over the Saints at the Superdome.

Trevor Lawrence definitely was feeling spicy. He wrote “y’all keep your opinions and we’ll keep finding ways to win.” He then used the eyes emoji and tagged all the #analysts.

Trevor Lawrence turned in gutsy performance against Saints

Again, it’s not clear what analysts drew Trevor Lawrence’s ire. He’s coming off an incredibly gutsy performance. After all, Lawrence sprained his left knee last Sunday in the final minutes of the Jaguars win over the Colts. The Jaguars decided in pre-game warmups Thursday night to let Lawrence make the start.

And all Lawrence did was throw for 204 yards and a touchdown. Plus, he rushed for 59 yards, which led all Jaguar runners. He wasn’t supposed to be that nimble with a bum knee.

“It’s crazy how you have something like that going on and don’t plan on moving a lot, and you end up running the ball more than you usually do,” Trevor Lawrence told reporters after the 31-24 win. “It felt pretty good. It didn’t bother me too much and definitely didn’t set it back. That was the goal, to play, find a way to win the game and not set it back.”

Maybe there was some push back on Jags blowing lead

Now, the Jaguars did cough up a 15-point lead in the third quarter. The Saints tied the game with a Derek Carr to Michael Thomas touchdown with just under seven minutes to play. But with three minutes to go, Lawrence threw a short pass over the middle to Christian Kirk. The receiver turned it into a 44-yard touchdown. Call it a makeup play from the first half when he lost a fumble.

“I don’t think I’ve run that fast since college,” said Kirk, the former Texas A&M star. “That was some vintage stuff. I’m glad I was able to do it in that moment.”

Have another look at the TD. Lawrence’s pass went for about 10 yards as he found Kirk, the slot receiver. Next Gen Stats noted that Lawrence was a cool 11 for 11 for 130 yards when throwing to his slot receiver against the Saints. The slot guy usually was Kirk.

Trevor Lawrence and his Jaguars are 5-2. That’s after the team lost two of the first three. And three of those five victories were road games. The Steelers are next up on the schedule, Oct. 29. Maybe Lawrence will tweet again by then.
