Treyten Lapcevich responds to CARS Tour appeals panel decision on North Wilkesboro win

The CARS Tour Appeals Panel has reinstated the North Wilkesboro win for Treyten Lapcevich and his Chad Bryant Racing team. Lapcevich won the Late Model Stock division race on August 3, but was disqualified as the winner three days later.
After an appeals process, the CARS Tour is granting the victory back to Treyten Lapcevich. However, the panel did not grant the points or prize money back to Lapcevich for the victory.
This is a bittersweet appeal win for Chad Bryant Racing and Lapcevich. Without those points, they are still 53 points out from the championship lead. Lapcevich and his No. 77 team sit seventh overall in the standings.
The Canadian driver released a statement on X.com, formerly known as Twitter.
“Our CARS Tour appeal from the North Wilkesboro event was held yesterday and resulted in our win being reinstated. I want to start by thanking the CARS Tour for their cooperation in this process. This wasn’t something they had done before, but they understood the importance of implementing this infrastructure for the future growth of the series.
“Thank you to the appeals panel for volunteering their time to hear our case, I have an immense amount of respect for each of them. Thank you to my fans and partners for sticking by me throughout this whole process.
“Although it’s disappointing that we are at a drastic setback in the championship points, I want to reassure everyone that the goal remains the same. I’m a racer, I came down here to race, so that’s what I’m going to do, and hopefully pick up some more of these wins before the season wraps up. Our whole team is 100% focused on the races to come and leaving this in the rearview. Once again, thank you to everyone for the support.”

Treyten Lapcevich racing for more CARS Tour wins
As the defending NASCAR Canada champion, Treyten Lapcevich knows about winning. He is a talented young driver and comes from a great racing family up north. His brother, Cayden, was the 2016 series champion. He is now a crew chief for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series.
Lapcevich is only 20 years old. He has competed admirably against drivers in the CARS Tour like Brenden Queen, Brent Crews, Carson Kvapil, Connor Hall, and others. This is not an easy series to go out and win in. Drivers such as Kvapil, Crews, Connor Zilisch, and others have gone to ARCA and NASCAR and won races, earned top-5s and more.
While he isn’t talked about as much as other prospects, Lapcevich might be the best Canadian stock car racer in quite some time. He is young, has talent and racecraft, and is mature beyond his years. The CARS Tour has them a nice driver in Lapcevich, truly.
I’m not sure if Treyten will get that call to the Truck Series or Xfinity Series, but he should. At least a start here and there, or something. If he can go out and win in the CARS Tour, he can compete in one of those series, I truly believe that.
