WATCH: Troy Aikman gives hilarious reaction to his Monday Night Football record
Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman has no shortage of confidence, causing a hilarious moment when he learned his Monday Night Football record. While promoting the season’s upcoming season of Monday Night Football as he joins the broadcast after leaving Fox — Aikman was asked by the crew of Good Morning America what he thought his personal record was in the marquee game.
Aikman answered with Hall of Fame confidence, joking that he thought he was undefeated on Monday night, but wasn’t sure of the exact record. He said as the record was revealed that he knew he had “won a lot of games on Monday night,” only to be completely shocked at his actual record of 13-9.

The candid reaction of Aikman got everybody on the broadcast laughing as he seemed genuinely shocked that he had a record anywhere near .500 winning percentage. While the three-time Super Bowl champion might have a case to make that he was better than a 13-9 quarterback, that 59 percent win-rate is actually higher than his career average of 57 percent — as Aikman’s career record is 94-71 as quarterback of the Cowboys, according to Statmuse.
Aikman and his long-time broadcast partner at Fox, Joe Buck, appeared on Good Morning America to promote the upcoming NFL schedule for Monday night games. After working on Fox for 20 years, Aikman made the switch to ESPN this season. He was able to recruit Buck to come with him to his new job, and the pair will continue to work together — just now on Monday Night Football with ESPN.

Aikman shares shirtless vacation photo with Jimmy Johnson
Aikman has had a good run in the news this week after Good Morning America and when he shared a vacation photo he took with another Dallas legend while in Florida. Aikman shared a photo via social media of him hanging out with long-time friend and former coach Jimmy Johnson, as the pair appeared to have a great time on the water in the Florida sun while shirtless.
Cowboys fans were treated to a happy blast-from-the-past moment with Aikman’s photo, as he and the 78-year-old Johnson were in a great mood while spending time together. Both Dallas legends have found a second career in NFL broadcasting, but they remain forever linked by their time on the field while winning two Super Bowls in Johnson’s five-year stint as Dallas’ coach.
