Ty Gibbs, Joey Logano get into heated argument after Busch Light Clash
It looks like that old Ty Gibbs and Joey Logano feud isn’t going to die in 2023. The two NASCAR drivers were not happy after The Clash. Gibbs and Logano made their way to the haulers where they had a heated argument face to face with each other.
Ty Gibbs got spun around with one lap to go, which ultimately led to Denny Hamlin claiming the win. He looked like he would run away with this race after putting a 3-second lead on the field. Then a late restart put him in a bad situation. Next thing he knew, he was spun around and wrecked.
However, that didn’t have much to do with this situation.
Logano was upset with Gibbs after the race for being aggressive on the track. Gibbs ran Joey up a bit, Joey then came back and gave Gibbs a hard time. In the end, the two are mad and that’s all that really matters.
The 2023 Rookie of the Year told Logano in a video from Michael Massie of Frontstretch, “I’ve watched this my whole life, it’s the same thing.”
Logano told the young Gibbs, “Keep watching.”
These two are going to have more moments this season. They have been going at it since last season and that clearly won’t stop now.

Ty Gibbs is a young talent looking to prove himself. He can’t let himself get pushed around. Then you have Joey Logano, a veteran and two-time champion – he’s got something to say too in all of this. So, who is in the wrong?
Ty Gibbs explains why Joey Logano was frustrated
In the end, Joey Logano is the one who had an issue with Ty Gibbs. At least, today. The sophomore Cup Series driver ran Logano up the track a bit, got into him, and he didn’t like it. So, he came and said something.
Gibbs was able to explain the situation after talking to Logano.
“Just mad that I ran him up,” Gibbs said, via Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports. “But if you go back and look at the replay, the 12 kind of chucks him out of the way too. So, it’s just hard racing at the end. This place is really hard to get your tires warm once the caution comes out as we see everybody sliding around. I just got in there deep and washed up on them and we just kind of got all tangled up after that.
“So he just came over and said that to me in a bunch of different words.”
As the season moves on to the Daytona 500, I think we will see more of this rivalry. A young driver, grandson of the team owner Joe Gibbs against a cunning two-time champion with Team Penske – what is better than that?
