Fresh off his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, Ty Majeski is back in a super late model doing what he does. Win. Majeski just pocketed $34,000 in total throughout the weekend at Freedom Factory.

Ty Majeski earned himself a $4,000 check for winning the pole. It should be noted that the Truck Series only pays $1,200 for a pole award. He then went on to win the Bill Bigley Memorial 128 for a $30,000 grand prize.

Majeski is a short-track racer. It is what he does best. In his super late model, he is one of the toughest race car drivers to beat. He showed that once again this weekend.

After the race, Ty Majeski thanked his team and of course, his car. The driver knows he can only do so much with what he is given. He was given a rocket ship on Saturday night.

“What a great car,” Majeski said, via Racing America. “This goes back to preparation back at the shop. When we unloaded this weekend, we knew we’d be tough. We didn’t practice much, which is really unlike us.

“We knew we had a good piece. Just trying to execute once we got in the race. Just tried to manage my gap to Casey [Johnson] there, try to gap him a little bit and then just manage it for a late-race caution.”

The Wisconsinite was joined on the podium by two of his fellow statesmen. Total Cheese Head domination in Florida. That did not shock Majeski at all.

Ty Majeski is having quite the year

Between his late model racing and hs Truck Series championship, Ty Majeski is having perhaps the best season of his career. He is a racecar driver through and through and it shows with how much he races and how talented he is on the track.

Whatever setup he has on his car usually brings him a fast piece. Qualifying is always a question in short track racing and whether or not that speed translates to race speed is also a question.

For Majeski, this is what he does. It is how he got himself to NASCAR in the first place. With Oktoberfest wins and dominating the ASA National Tour or just busting his butt working in the shop. It’s how he makes a living.

Ty Majeski is an old-school racer. He shows that you can still make it off talent and skill. Of course, he has to have some sponsorship backing him, but this is a driver who makes his money by the results he puts up on the track. Like the $34,000 he just earned this weekend.
