This year’s Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway was nothing short of exciting. Ty Majeski is your winner for the 56th annual edition of the race. This is Majeski’s second win in this event in the last four years. He has capped off a stellar Late Model season along with a really good year in the NASCAR Truck Series.

With a ton of NASCAR talent and Late Model regulars in the field, this was a competitive race. Viewers online were raving about it throughout the night. Noah Gragson caused a huge pileup at one point as the race wound down.

Then, Stephen Nasse and Bubba Pollard got into one another racing for the lead. This opened the way for Ty Majeski to take control on a late restart. He did just that and with just a handful of laps remaining, drove away from the field.

This year, Majeski made the Truck Series playoffs Round of 8 with a single victory on the year. He was also the ASA Stars National Tour champion with some wins and great performances throughout the season.

Here’s the wreck that led to the late restart.

Bubba Pollard once again loses out on a Snowball Derby victory. He’s a great race car driver, but this one continues to evade him.

Ty Majeski has a bright future

In his two full-time seasons in the Truck Series, Ty Majeski has proven that he belongs. He had two wins in 2022 and another win this season in 2023. Along with a number of top-5 finishes, he has shown that he is capable of competing for championships.

As we already highlighted, his work in Late Models speaks for itself. I’d like to see Majeski get an Xfinity Series ride for a few races because he does have the talent. He is also a short track racer through and through – he loves the sport and is passionate about it.

Just look how he outperformed NASCAR drivers from Carson Hocevar to William Byron this weekend.

Earlier this year, Denny Hamlin named Majeski as a driver to watch. He felt that he had shown a great deal of talent and car control and deserved a big shot. Right now, at ThorSport Racing, Majeski is doing just fine in the Truck Series.

I fully expect Ty Majeski to be competing for a championship next season. He’s done so well in the last two years, and just capped his year off with another massive victory in the Snowball Derby.
