Ty Majeski wins pole award at World Wide Technology Raceway, third of the season
In the last five races, Ty Majeski has been up and down. Finally, it feels like he has some momentum with another pole award. World Wide Technology Raceway was no problem for the NASCAR Truck Series driver.
Ty Majeski was able to take the pole for the second year in a row at Gateway. Christian Eckes is set to start on the front row next to Majeski. It is going to be a fun and entertaining Truck Series race tomorrow.
This is the third time that Majeski has had the pole award this season. The other two came at Daytona and Martinsville.
Ty Majeski is a short-track racer through and through. He gets a lot of reps in the ASA Stars Tour. He is a champion of that tour. So, when it comes to tracks like Gateway, I like his chances. There is not a track exactly like it, but Phoenix has some characteristics in common with the St. Louis venue.
As far as Majeski goes, again, I like him. He’s talented. Something is off this season, though. The ThorSport driver has had trouble finishing races. Twice he has been P2 this season and on a few occasions let races slip away from him.

Ty Majeski has to hold off Christian Eckes
When it comes down to it, tomorrow is going to likely be a battle between two of these drivers – Ty Majeski and Christian Eckes. They both start on the front row and they are both incredibly talented.
Majeski led 55 of 162 laps last year before a DNF. Grant Enfinger went on to win the race. However, right behind him was Christian Eckes in P2. With how strong the 19 team has been this season, I have to think they will be in the mix.
The rest of the top-ten in qualifying: Nick Sanchez, Dean Thompson, Tanner Gray, Stewart Friesen, Taylor Gray, Ben Rhodes, Corey Heim, and Grant Enfinger. So, last year’s winner could play a role this weekend as well.
A lot can happen in a race, but looking at it on its face, I have to think that Ty Majeski and Christian Eckes are the drivers to beat in tomorrow’s Truck Series race. Who are you picking?
