Tyler Guyton injury update: Cowboys LT status revealed amid multiple ailments
Injuries have begun to pile up for the Dallas Cowboys and at important positions. Left tackle is the latest on Thanksgiving, with Tyler Guyton going down due to multiple ailments. Guyton is dealing with both ankle and knee injuries.
The status of Guyton has been revealed as well. It sounds like the Cowboys will be lucky to get him back on the field against the New York Giants.
“Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton has ankle and knee injuries,” Clarence Hill of DLLS said via X. “Return is questionable at best.”
If Guyton cannot continue, Asim Richards has been the replacement left tackle at times this season. Left guard Tyler Smith has shifted one spot over too. Unfortunately, head coach Mike McCarthy reshuffling the offensive line is nothing new.
Right guard Zack Martin has multiple injuries plaguing him too, keeping the future Hall of Famer off the field. Elsewhere, rookie center Cooper Beebe and right tackle Terence Steele are out there and attempting to block for quarterback Cooper Rush.

More on Tyler Guyton, rookie season
Dallas decided to move on from Tyron Smith this offseason, leaving a massive gap at the left tackle position. The answer wound up being Guyton, a first-round pick after playing his college football at Oklahoma and TCU. Guyton did play right tackle during his time with the Sooners and made the switch over.
Through nine games played, the results have been mixed on the rookie. There have been drives where Dallas decides to roll with Richards and leave Guyton on the sideline. It’s certainly a step down from Smith’s Hall of Fame career but a work in progress.
Hopefully, the injury does not stop any kind of development Guyton was making at this point of the season. Even if Guyton does return to the field, more information will be released on his status will be revealed postgame whenever McCarthy speaks to the media.
