Tyler Reddick wins instant classic at Homestead-Miami to advance to first-ever Championship 4
In fantastic fashion, Tyler Reddick just punched his ticket, and Michael Jordan’s, to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4! Like his boss in the NBA Playoffs, Reddick just delivered an instant classic in the NASCAR Playoffs.
The last lap move from Tyler Reddick on the fence was, quite honestly, insane. You will rarely see a move like that in racing. He was ripping the boards late with older tires, made a huge, bold move, and it paid off.
The regular season champion gets it done under pressure. Reddick and the 45 team are taking 23XI Racing to their first-ever Championship 4. Fantastic finish.
This race had everything. The drama of Kyle Larson falling back early in the race. That jumpscare on Lap 1 with Justin Haley spinning in front of the field. Just an absolutely fun and enthralling Cup Series race.
Many will be saying this but, it is a shame this is not the championship. Tyler Reddick had the caution flag fall at the right time. Larson shot the middle between a lapped Austin Dillon and Ryan Blaney for the lead, and it didn’t stick.
With somewhat fresh tires, Reddick didn’t worry about the brand-new tires of his opponents. The 45 ran a 33.379-second last lap, compared to Blaney’s 33.9. When you are that much quicker on the final lap, you put up an all-time performance.

Tyler Reddick pulls it off in Homestead
Tyler Reddick came into Homestead-Miami on a mission. He wrecked and flipped a week ago at Las Vegas. Now he’s standing in Victory Lane with a ticket to Phoenix. Let’s not forget that Reddick is a two-time Xfinity Series champion, he’s capable of doing this.
Reddick won the opening stage. Then, he finished P4 in the second stage. He was up front all day and was in the right spot at the right time when that caution fell. It was setting up to be a thrilling finish between Blaney and Larson and somehow we got something better.
Watching Hamlin, Blaney, and Reddick battle in those final laps was awesome. It is everything you can want as a race fan. We saw three-wide passes and bold moves on the track from a number of drivers today. When it mattered most, Reddick was willing to make the biggest move.
Tyler Reddick is going to Phoenix with a chance to win his first-ever Cup Series championship. Can he deliver Michael Jordan, the GOAT, a Bill France Cup to go along with his six Larry O’Brien trophies?
