Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill was the source of a considerable amount of news on Sunday morning after he was detained by police following a minor traffic stop and taken to the ground and cuffed.

Hill was eventually released and went on to play in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he’s considering possible legal action over the incident with police.

A report from Pro Football Talk indicated that agent Drew Rosenhaus revealed Tyreek Hill has been contacted by the Miami-Dade Police Department of Internal Affairs regarding the conduct of the officers. Hill’s lawyers are reportedly considering their options, which could include litigation.

That might be a bit of a reversal from what Hill suggested following the game.

“Everybody has bad apples in every situation, so I want to be able to use this platform to figure out a way to like flip this and make it a positive on both ends,” Tyreek Hill said. “On my end and also Miami-Dade, so that way we can continue together and do something positive for the community, because that’s what it’s all about, man.

“You guys are here to protect us as individuals, and I have a platform and I want to be able to team up with you guys. That’s all I’ve got to say.”

The incident immediately went viral as video leaked of Hill being handcuffed while on the pavement.

Tyreek Hill then performed a handcuffing celebration following a touchdown in the game against the Jaguars, further highlighting the issue.

The talented receiver said he felt “alone” during the incident with police. He also reacted after being informed that an officer had been placed on administrative duties pending a review of the situation.

“That should tell you everything you need to know then,” Tyreek Hill said. “You feel me? It should tell you everything you need to know. So that’s all I’m going to say about that situation.

“I’m just glad my teammates were there to support me in that situation, because I felt alone. When they showed up, it made me realize that we’ve got a fucking good team this year, dawg. For them to put their life on the line, you know what I’m saying. So it was amazing to see, man.”
