The Dolphins are readying for their game against the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany. But even Tyreek Hill isn’t speedy enough to escape the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift hoopla.

A reporter asked Hill, the league’s leading receiver and October AFC offensive player of the month, whether he was a Swiftie and about his friend’s relationship with the world’s most famous woman. And Hill, aka Cheetah, sprinted past the question.

“I’m not getting into that — that’s a dangerous crew.” Tyreek Hill said. “I’m not getting into that. No comment.”

He wasn’t talking about dangerous in the literal sense. But Swifties tend to swarm on social media. Who needs the distraction, especially when you’re playing a football game against the Super Bowl champions six time zones from home?

Taylor Swift probably will be nowhere near Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt when the Chiefs and Dolphins kickoff on Sunday at 9:30 a.m., Miami time. The world’s most recognizable pop star is days away from continuing her massively popular Eras Tour. Next week, she’ll start her South American leg of the tour with dates in Buenos Aires, Rio, and São Paulo.

There’s been speculation that Kelce will join her in either Brazil or Argentina, but the Chiefs do have a full slate of games.

For what it’s worth, Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle is a self-proclaimed Swiftie.

But once the game starts, it won’t be about off-field relationships. Rather, the Dolphins and Chiefs feature some of the NFL’s brightest offensive stars. Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are trying to get the Chiefs back on track after stumbling last Sunday in Denver against the Broncos. And Tyreek Hill is an obvious storyline. He’s a one-time Chief with many friends still on the roster. But he’s now in his second season with the Dolphins.

Hill averaged 120.4 yards per game in October and is already over 1,000. He wants 2,000 for the season, so he can’t afford to let his numbers slip.

Meanwhile, Mahomes is mostly depending on Kelce, the best tight end in the game. He’s caught 54 passes for 583 yards and four touchdowns, playing in seven of the Chiefs’ eight games. And Kelce has 24 more receptions than the Chiefs No. 2 receiver — rookie Rashee Rice.

Sunday’s game probably will be solely about football.
