Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle injury updates: Report reveals status of Dolphins' receivers vs. Browns
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle found out their status for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Hill, who has a wrist injury, should play. However, the same can’t be said for Waddle.
Both Miami Dolphins wide receivers have dealt with their fair share of injuries this season.
“Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill, listed as questionable with a wrist injury, should play tomorrow, sources say,” Rapoport wrote on Twitter. “Meanwhile, the team is unlikely to have WR Jaylen Waddle, questionable with a knee.”
This season, Waddle has 54 catches, 700 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Hill has 70 catches for 834 yards and six touchdowns.
Unfortunately for the Dolphins, the playoffs likely won’t be a reality this season. At 7-8, it was quite the disappointing year filled with struggles and injuries.
Tyreek Hill has cryptic post about future with Dolphins
It could be much ado about nothing, but Hill had a cryptic post earlier this month regarding his future in Miami.
“It’s time for me to go coach,” Hill wrote on X.
Now, punctuation matters. The way Hill typed it out, it appears he means actually going into the coaching profession rather than sending a message to head coach Mike McDaniel. Former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater traded his pads for a headset, coaching at his alma mater this past season. He led Miami (Fla.) Northwestern to a state title. Now, Bridgewater wants back in the NFL.

Hill caught 119 passes for a league-leading 1,799 yards and 13 scores last season, finishing runner-up in the AP Offensive Player of the Year Award voting. Playing without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a portion of the season hasn’t helped, though his performances have continued to be hit or miss.
Speaking of Tagovailoa, he won’t play either. He was downgraded to doubtful this week with a hip injury.
Tagovailoa’s only played 11 games this season due to a previous concussion. This year, he has 2,867 yards, 19 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 72.9% completion percentage.
“Part of the reason why the team put itself in position to win today is because there’s a lot in football that may be correlation, not causation,” head coach Mike McDaniel said on December 22. “So all the things that you haven’t done, if you really look at it with a fine tooth comb, yes, naturally you have to win in all atmospheres and against all different opponents.
“But the bigger thing is, when you’re trying to play football so that in the inevitable situation that you face every season, an elimination game, whether it’s to get in the playoffs or it’s in the playoffs, you want to be tooled with a team that can succeed or execute in those types of situations. I think the list is long when you’re talking about all the things that this team has to do that it has yet to do, but the formula is the same.”
