Tyreek Hill joins Madden 99 club for 2024 NFL season
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill became the franchise’s first-ever member of the Madden 99 Club this week. The Madden NFL 25 game is unveiling the newest members of the 99 club this week, starting with the “Cheetah.” Hill received a 99 rating for speed, fully living up to his nickname.
Eli Manning welcomed the Dolphins star into the 99 Club with some gear and a welcome to the club video.
“You’re one of the most electrifying players in football and you proved that again this past season,” Eli Manning said in Hill’s Madden ratings reveal video.
Tyreek Hill started his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. There, he became a star in the sport and a Super Bowl champion. He was traded to Miami in 2022 and has continued to thrive, being named an All-Pro in each of his two seasons with the Dolphins.
During the 2023 season, Hill saw his Madden rating boosted to 99 overall, which is where it is to start the 2024 season. He posted a league-high 1,799 receiving yards on 119 receptions, finishing second in the league in catches. He also tied for first in receiving touchdowns with 13.
Over the first eight seasons of his career, he’s averaged 1,267 yards per season. Hill only finished two seasons with less than 1,000 receiving yards.

While speaking to the media about his potential future contract, Hill explained that his priority is going to be staying with the Dolphins for the rest of his career instead of potentially maximizing what he can make as a player.
“Ensuring I’m a Dolphin for life,” Hill said. “That’s number one. That’s priority number one, man. This is obviously the best situation for myself and the family. I don’t think it could get any better, whether it’s just to live in an establishment in the state and the taxes. Everything. The weather. Everything that comes with just living in Miami is just beautiful, man. We love it.”
Hill is currently playing on a $120 million contract that, when he signed it in 2022, made him the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver. That was a four-year contract. However, since then, that number has been reset by Justin Jefferson‘s $140 million contract.
“And it’s awesome just to be here,” Hill said. “You know, coaches are wonderful, teammates are wonderful and I’m like a 20-minute flight from the Bahamas. So I can just go to Bahamas anytime I want to and do what I got to do.”
