Tyreek Hill surprises fan who grabbed TD ball intended for his mom with signed gear
Maybe you saw the viral video of a fan intercepting a football that Tyreek Hill tossed to his mother. It was all to celebrate a touchdown at Hard Rock Stadium.
But there was a fumble on the play. A man who was sitting in front of Hill’s mom grabbed the football. The unidentified Dolphins fan was the recipient of some social media wrath. After all, he interrupted the sweet mother-son moment.
And Tyreek Hill tried to fix that. The Cheetah then shared the video of the heartwarming few minutes with his thousands of followers.
He opened the clip by taking us back to the play (Because everyone wants to see the 69-yard touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa to Hill).
“I don’t know if you guys remember the viral video with my mom after the touchdown celebration,” Tyreek Hill says. “So as I’m giving the ball to my mom, let’s just say a lucky fella tried to steal the ball away from my mom. But today will be his very lucky day as I will be surprising him with some autographed items from myself.”
So then you see Hill, lurking behind a taller security guard, surprising the fan at a restaurant. The two hugged, with the fan calling him “the coolest (bleeping) dude ever.”
Then the fan explained to Tyreek Hill what happened through his eyes.
“You made my day that day,” he said. “I didn’t know your mom was behind us. If I would’ve known, I would’ve stepped aside. I said ‘the greatest football player in the NFL is right here and going to give a ball.; I said I was going to jump up there, I was sitting in my seat all along.”
That’s when Hill steps in to set the record straight. “He wasn’t trying to steal the ball from my mom. He was just trying to hug it and make sure there was nothing crazy out there.”

And the fan gushed some more. “He went out of his way to give me a football. This is totally awesome.”
So go ahead. Check out the video and relive the moment. It’s fun to be a Miami Dolphins fan right now.
The 4-1 Dolphins play host to the winless Panthers, Sunday, at Hard Rock Stadium. No doubt, the Carolina secondary, specifically, and the defense, overall, are feeling some anxiety. After all, the Dolphins have amassed 2,568 yards of total offense through five games. That’s the best start ever for an offense in NFL history through the first five games.
Tyreek Hill’s long touchdown pass helped Miami score 52 points and gain 524 yards against the Giants. That allowed the Dolphins to nose past the old St. Louis Rams, aka the “Greatest Show on Turf” offense from 2000. That was back when Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk rolled to 2,527 yards through five games.
The Dolphins could be the “the Greatest Show on Surf.” And Tyreek Hill probably will be celebrating several more touchdowns
