Tyreek Hill under investigation for alleged assault in Florida
Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for allegedly hitting a man working at Haulover Marina in North Miami Sunday.
According to WPLG Local 10 in Miami, Hill shared an Instagram story over the weekend showing a Father’s Day celebration on a boat. Hill reportedly got into a disagreement with an employee of a charter company, which allegedly ended with the 29-year-old slapping the man on the back of the head.
Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 South Florida reports that the incident started when Hill’s crew tried boarding the boat without permission. The crew member does not want to press charges at this time. Police have obtained video which may show the altercation.
Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, posted a video to his Twitter Tuesday of him wrestling a shark while on a fishing trip with Hill. Rosenhaus has yet to publicly comment on the alleged incident involving Hill.

Hill, an eight-year veteran of the NFL, is gearing up for his second season with the Dolphins after coming over via trade from the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2022 season. After recording four 1,000-yard seasons and winning a Super Bowl in Kansas City, Hill set career-highs across the board in his first season in Miami. Hill hauled in 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven scores. He finished ninth in AP NFL MVP voting and fourth in AP Offensive Player of the Year voting.

Hill is particularly excited about running it back with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in 2023. Speaking with the media during mandatory minicamp last week, Hill said that Tagovailoa has grown as a leader entering his fourth season in the NFL.
“I will tell you this, man. Tua has stepped up a lot in his leadership role,” Hill said. “I know last year was my first year playing with him, but seeing him this year, he’s more vocal with the offense and leading and group chats and stuff like that.”
