UMass at Georgia odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
The UMass Minutemen are traveling to Athens for a non-conference matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs. It’s a game that the Bulldogs enter with the hope of being impressive as they strive to make the College Football Playoff this season.
Georgia and UMass have played once in the past. That matchup was during the 2018 season in a similar late-season matchup. It ended in a 66-27 win for the Bulldogs. Kirby Smart was still the coach at that time for Georgia.
Ahead of the game, FanDuel released odds on the game. The Bulldogs enter as a 44.5-point favorite over the Minutemen. The over/under point total for the game is also set at 57.5 points. However, the moneyline is locked.
How to Watch UMass at Georgia

Channel: SECN, FuboTV (streaming)
Location: Sanford Stadium – Athens, GA
The Georgia Bulldogs are entering the final stretch of the season with two losses already. However, coming off a big win over the Tennessee Volunteers, the Bulldogs should be in a good position once again to make it to the College Football Playoff this season. However, they will have to avoid an upset in the final weeks to feel relatively safe.
Still, head coach Kirby Smart recently shared his frustrations with some of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee’s decisions.

“Well, I don’t know because I don’t know what they look for,” Smart said. “I really don’t know what they look for anymore. So, I would welcome anyone in that committee to come down to this league and play in this environment. It’s a tough place to play.”
As for UMass, the Minutemen have two wins on the season. Both of those came against FCS teams and they’re coming off a heartbreaking loss against Liberty, which saw UMass miss a game winning field goal before missing an extra point in overtime. Starting quarterback Taisun Phommachanh is also out for the remainder of the season.
Georgia is a heavy favorite in this game. That’s not a surprise but the Bulldogs won’t be able to overlook UMass entirely. After all, any FBS team can win on any given Saturday, no matter how unlikely.
After playing UMass, Georgia will then play rival Georgia Tech. After that, the Bulldogs have the potential to play in the SEC Championship Game, depending on how the tiebreakers work out. Winning that would earn an autobid into the Playoff. However, making the SEC Championship Game would likely also secure a bid.
