United States skateboard Nyjah Huston recently took to Instagram to share his displeasure with the fact that his bronze medal is already losing its color.

“These Olympic medals look great when they’re brand new. But after letting it sit on my skin with some sweat for a little bit and letting my friends wear it over the weekend, they’re apparently not as high quality as you would think,” Nyjah Huston said. “I mean look at that thing. It’s looking rough.”

His complaining appears to have worked as Nyjah Huston is set to receive a new medal, according to TMZ. The website reports that the manufacturer of the Olympic medals is providing him a new one.

La Monnaie de Paris created the medals for the Paris Olympics, according to TMZ.

“The medals are the most coveted objects of the Games and the most precious for the athletes,” the company told TMZ. “Damaged medals will be systematically replaced by the Monnaie de Paris and engraved in an identical way to the originals.”

Huston finished third in men’s street at the Olympics with a score of 279.38. He finished behind Yuto Horigome of Japan, who won gold, and Jagger Eaton of the United States, who earned the silver.

The Olympic games got underway on July 26 and will conclude on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Rai Benjamin earns his first gold medal with men’s 400m hurdle win

Elsewhere at the Summer Olympics, the United States continued to rack up medals on Friday.

The two fastest men ever in the 400m hurdles went toe to toe again and this time, the American, Rai Benjamin came out on on top. We did not see another world record like at Tokyo. However, Benjamin gets his Olympic gold medal after so long.

Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm of Norway are two of the best rivals in all of Track & Field. What they have done for the 400m hurdles should not be overlooked.

Using his strength, Benjamin outlasted Warholm down the stretch. Heartbreak for the Norweigian and world record holder, elation for America’s champion.

When Rai Benjamin fell short of gold at Tokyo, it felt like he had no answer for Warholm. This is the first world championship in the 400m hurdles ever for Benjamin.

At Doha, silver. Tokyo, silver. Eugene, silver. Last year at Budapest, a step back, he took bronze. Now, the American is on top of world in the 400m hurdles.

According to Nick Zaccardi of NBC Sports, Benjamin has helped make history for America as well. Four individual sprint gold medals in five events for the United States. The last time Team USA took home that many individual gold medals in sprints, 1996.

In Tokyo, the men’s team failed to earn a single gold medal in the individual sprints. History made for Rai Benjamin and the United States.
