USC guard Isaiah Collier has declared for the 2024 NBA Draft, he told ESPN’s Adrain Wojnarowski on Wednesday. Collier is expected to be a lottery pick and one of the first college players selected this summer.

“USC Trojans freshman point guard Isaiah Collier will enter the 2024 NBA Draft, he told ESPN on Wednesday,” Wojnarowski said via X. “Collier — ranked as the tenth best available player in ESPN’s list of Top 100 prospects — will be represented by agent BJ Armstrong of Wasserman.”

Collier was USC’s second-leading scorer on the season, averaging 16.3 points per game. He shot 49% from the field and 33.8% from three. Teams will like to see the free throw percentage move up though, making under 70% from the charity stripe.

However, Collier is not known as a primary scorer. His passing is where teams will get excited about potentially drafting the point guard. Collier averaged 4.3 assists per game, good enough for fourth in the Pac-12 this season.

Those numbers will only increase when Collier gets NBA-caliber shooters around him.

Collier played high school basketball at Marietta (GA) Wheeler, where he was a Five-Star Plus+ prospect. He was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony gives scouting report on Isaiah Collier

Collier was highly-rated coming out of high school and while he might not end up being the No. 1 overall pick, there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding him. ESPn’s Jonathan Givony gave a scouting report on the USC guard, explaining why teams are interested in acquiring his services.

“Isaiah Collier is an outstanding ball-handler who lives at the rim, using his strong frame to finish through contact and get to the free-throw line,” Givony said via X. “His flair for changing speeds and passing off a live dribble has obvious appeal in this class with his scoring instincts.”

In a mock draft from The Ringer ahead of the NCAA Tournament — something Collier did not participate in — he was projected to go No. 12 overall to the Chicago Bulls. Collier was the sixth college player selected in the mock but has an opportunity to increase his stock during the pre-draft process.
