Joel Dahmen may never live down the time he lost his car. The PGA Tour golfer had an issue with his vehicle during last year’s U.S. Open, and the USGA didn’t want him to forget about it.

As golfers arrived at the Los Angeles Country Club for the 123rd U.S. Open, a parking sign indicated that player valet parking was located in Lot A. Dahmen, however, obviously wasn’t allowed to park in that lot. Instead, the USGA made a note on the sign, which read, “Joel Dahmen, proceed to Lot F.”

Tough way to start the week for Dahmen.

The USGA’s parking sign and joke on Dahmen references last year’s mishap. Following his second round at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., Dahmen had trouble locating his car. It was reported that valet gave his vehicle to the wrong person.

It had to be incredibly frustrating for Dahmen, who owned the lead at the major championship through two rounds. But he took it in stride.

Dahmen became a fan favorite after starring in Netflix’s documentary Full Swing, which highlighted the lives of multiple PGA Tour stars. There will be plenty of fans rooting for the 35-year-old this week out in L.A.

That is, if he’s ever able to find a reasonable parking spot.

USGA hilariously trolls Adam Hadwin ahead of U.S. Open

The USGA has plenty of jokes this week. In addition to trolling Dahmen, it also surprised Adam Hadwin with a special gift for this week’s U.S. Open.

Security slammed Hadwin to the ground following the conclusion of the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday, as he attempted to rush the green and celebrate with his friend and tournament winner, Nick Taylor. Hadwin tried to spray Taylor with champagne, but officials put a stop to that pretty quick.

The USGA was quick to act, knowing Hadwin was heading to the Los Angeles Country Club for this week’s U.S. Open. The organization presented the golfer with a hard hat and a construction vest, just in case he gets any ideas for this week’s event.

Considering how hard he got leveled, though, we’re guessing Hadwin probably won’t try storming any greens this week.

The U.S. Open is known as the toughest challenge in golf. All jokes aside, it should be an incredibly fun tournament from the LACC. Action begins on Thursday, June 15 and runs through Sunday, June 18.
