Utah at Colorado odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
For the first time as Big 12 opponents, Utah and Colorado will square off in Week 12. Ahead of the matchup, the odds and early point spread have been released.
The Buffaloes opened as 10.5-point favorites over the Utes, according to FanDuel. The over-under also opened at 48.5 points.
Colorado remains in contention in the Big 12, hoping to make a run at not only a conference title, but also the College Football Playoff. The Buffaloes possess plenty of star power, led by quarterback Shedeur Sanders and playmaker Travis Hunter. Deion Sanders’ group is bowl-eligible after winning just four games last year, and the matchup against Utah presents another opportunity to bolster the resume.
As for Utah, it’s been a rough year after coming in as the Big 12 favorite. The Utes entered their “Holy War” rivalry game against BYU on a four-game losing streak and are down to backup quarterback Isaac Wilson after Cam Rising suffered a season-ending injury.

Utah takes a seven-game winning streak into the Week 12 matchup against Colorado. The Buffaloes’ last victory over the Utes came in 2016 when they came away with the 27-22 victory at Folsom Field. Since then, it’s been all Utah, including last year’s 23-17 win thanks to a surgical 7:25 final drive to drain the clock and seal it.
Of course, there’s also mutual respect between Sanders and Kyle Whittingham. The Utah coach had high praise for Coach Prime during Big 12 Media Days, giving him credit for helping put CU “back on the map.”
“First of all, Coach Sanders has done a great job infusing excitement into that program and talent,” Whittingham said. “His own sons are terrific players. We didn’t see Shedeur, but he’s — obviously, watching the tape, he’s a terrific talent.”
“Essentially he’s put Colorado football back on the map. Year two, I’m sure they’re looking for progress. They started off very strong last year. Injuries caught up to them and didn’t end the way they wanted, I’m sure. But he’s definitely rejuvenated things in Boulder.”
