UTEP at Tennessee odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Tennessee faces off against UTEP in the penultimate game of the Volunteers regular season schedule during Week 13.
Despite coming off a tough road loss to Georgia in Week 12, Tennessee’s College Football Playoff hopes are not finished. However, they’ll need to win out the rest of the season to remain in the conversation. That starts Saturday against the Miners.
As Tennessee looks to get back to its winning ways, the Vols have a chance to earn their ninth victory of the season on Saturday. Vegas updated its early odds to provide a bit of insight on how Tennessee might take advantage of this matchup.
Heading into game week, Tennessee has opened as 40.5-point favorites over UTEP at home, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under point spread is set at 55.5 in the non conference showdown.

Tennessee is 8-2 heading into Week 13. Before the loss, the Volunteers were firmly in the CFP picture and in line to either earn the conference’s first round bye or host a home playoff game.
After the loss, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel provided his intial thoughts on where his team might fall when the next bath of rankings are released on Saturday.
“I have no idea, man,” Heupel said. “All I know is this league, is college football as good as it gets. Like, it is. Teams get beat on the road sometimes. It’s hard to win, man, in this league. It’s a good football team that we just played. Lost a couple of close ones on the road against good football teams. Had turnovers in that game. It’s a good football team. We’re a good football team, too.”
UTEP comes into the game with a 2-8 record after starting the season 0-6. They defeated Kennesaw State 43-35 in overtime during their last time out.
