Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Kentucky hosts Vanderbilt in Week 7 — and both teams are coming off their best wins of the season heading into Saturday’s matchup.
Vanderbilt headlined the Week 6 upset slate, defeating No. 1 Alabama 40-35 at home over the weekend while Kentucky was enjoying its bye week. The last time the Wildcats were on the field, however, they downed a top-10 Ole Miss team on the road.
Now, the two SEC teams come together to see which team can better take advantage of their signature win of the 2024 season.
Heading into the matchup, FanDuel Sportsbook lists Kentucky as an early 11.5-point favorite over the Commodores at home. The over/under point total is set at 46.5.

It may seem surprising to see the Wildcats head into game week as two-score favorites over the team that just beat Alabama — but the last time Kentucky played at home they held Georgia to 13 points and nearly pulled off an upset of similar magnitude to the Commodores from Week 6.

This same Kentucky team held Ole Miss — who had previously amassed 600 yards of offense in each of its first three games this season — to 17 points on their home turf and came away with the victory on the road.
For Vanderbilt, the x-factor will once again be the play of quarterback Diego Pavia. Pavia completed 16 of 20 passes against the Crimson Tide and pieced together over 300 yards of offense on the ground and through the air to go with a pair of touchdowns.
Vanderbilt’s offensive line will have to match up against the likes of UK defensive lineman Deone Walker down low, who may cause issues for Pavia and company in the run game. At 6-foot-6 and 350 pounds, Walker is also a pass-rush threat and is largely considered a first-round draft choice this spring.
If they can keep Walker away from Pavia, there may not be much Kentucky can do to slow down the dynamic transfer quarterback.
