Debuting in the ARCA Menards Series in 1982, Venturini Motorsports has competed in 1012 races, and now the show is over. At least, the Venturini name will no longer be involved. The operations have been sold over to Nitro Motorsports.

Nitro Motorsports made the jump from Trans-Am Series racing to the ARCA Menards Series this season. Today at Rockingham Speedway, the Venturini family made the news official.

Billy Venturini spoke about the reason why Nitro and the owners of this organization were the best fit. When it comes to this team, driver development is the most important aspect. They are there to serve as a proving ground for Toyota development drivers.

Moving forward, Nitro will do that. They have done well in the Trans-Am Series so far. Why not ARCA?

“Well that’s actually why Nick [Tucker] was the choice for this,” Billy Venturini told the media at Rockingham. “There were other outside sources that had interest in the team, but Nick is the perfect choice because he’s the only one I feel that really embodied driver development, understood it. Understood the driving side. Like myself, he drove, he’s worked on them, he’s crew chiefed, he’s done everything; he’s played every position on the field just like I had. So, that’s a rare combination. So, that’s the stuff I feel like really helps us connect with the drivers on many different levels. Nick is the absolute perfect fit to carry on that same tradition that I have of working with the young drivers.”

On October 15, 2025, Nitro Motorsports will take control of the Venturini operations. The final race of the ARCA Menards Series season is at Toledo on October 5.

Venturini Motorsports will continue operating for 2025

Venturini will continue to operate for the rest of 2025 under their usual banner. So drivers Isabella Robusto, Lawless Alan, Jake Finch, and Chase Pinsonneault will have their rides for the rest of the year. No changes there.

Over the years, the Venturini program has competed in over 1000 races. They have 77 race wins and 76 pole positions. During that time, they have also won three national series championships. 71 of those 77 race wins have happened since 2006.

Of course, Rockingham Speedway holds a special place in the hearts of the Venturini Motorsports family. It was the 2008 race that Joey Logano aboslutely dominated that showed how great this program could be. From there, they were the development team for Toyota, and it produced many great moments.

Logano, Brennan Poole, Alex Bowman, Erik Jones, Todd Gilliland, Christopher Bell, Christian Eckes, Chandler Smith, Harrison Burton, Corey Heim, Jesse Love, and Brent Crews are just some of the names who have won for Venturini Motorsports. They have time to make more memories this season.
