Veteran receiver Martavis Bryant has signed with the Washington Commanders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday.

Bryant, who hasn’t suited up in an NFL game since 2018, gets one more shot at a comeback at 32 years of age. He appeared in eight games for the Las Vegas Raiders that season, coming down with 19 receptions for 266 yards. He spent the previous four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Clemson.

In 36 games across three seasons, he hauled in 126 receptions for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns. Bryant briefly spent time with the Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League in 2021. Both franchises released him before the start of training camp.

The Vegas Vipers of the XFL selected Bryant with the fifth pick in the 2023 XFL Draft. After playing in eight games for the Vipers, Vegas released him this past November, allowing him to sign with the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas signed him to a reserve/future contract in January before releasing him in May.

Bryant has been suspended multiple times for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy and was reinstated last year by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Six years since his last snap in the NFL, Bryant still believes he has a lot to offer.

“I got a lot of football left,” Bryant told Queen City News last month. “Still love the game, never stopped loving the game. I had to take some time to reflect on myself and get my situation straight off the field. I did that. I put in a lot of work. There’s still so much left I can do. I know I can contribute to somebody that wants to give me the opportunity.”
