Another player fell victim to a prank call during the 2025 NFL Draft, as video emerged of a call allegedly made to former Texas receiver Isaiah Bond. The call apparently came from an Alabama fan, as Bond began his college career with the Crimson Tide.

The person making the call impersonated Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot and told Bond that the team planned to pick him. He strung the receiver along for about 30 seconds and Bond seemed to buy it before the caller dropped a “Roll Tide” and hung up. You can view the call below.

In reality, Bond ended up going undrafted and many criticized the fans for the cruelty of the prank. Bond has yet to sign an undrafted free agent deal.

Bond played just one year for the Longhorns after transferring in from Alabama this offseason. He finished third on the team in receiving with 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns as Texas advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Isaiah Bond is not the only player who received a prank call during the draft this past week. Former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and former Penn State tight end Tyler Warren also each received calls from fans impersonating front office members from the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, respectively.

Sanders was projected as a potential first-round pick entering the draft but slid all the way to the fifth round before being taken by the Cleveland Browns. Video of the prank was released Saturday, showing a young man wearing an Ole Miss sweater impersonating New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.

Sanders’ prank caller was determined to be Jax Ulbrich, the son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. Jax later issued an apology to Sanders.

Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reported that Warren’s camp believed that the call he received was “the same number and/or area code” involved in the Sanders prank call. The NFL has since launched an investigation into the prank call that Warren received, so perhaps some more information will come to light.

It will also be interesting to see whether any action is taken regarding the call to Bond. Regardless, the receiver will move on from the incident and focus on finding a landing spot to begin his pro career with rookie minicamps coming up.
