Video shows graphic aftermath of shooting, attempted robbery of San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall

Just before the NFL season began out West, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was involved in a shoot after an attempted robbery. Pearsall was shot in the chest and taken to a local hospital where he is described to be in a “serious but stable” condition after the incident.

Video of the aftermath has been posted on social media. Zak Sos of KTVU received footage of Pearsall being around medical professionals, getting attended to. Eventually, the former Florida wide receiver was helped over to an ambulance before being put on a stretcher.

Pearsall was visibly in a ton of pain when being loaded into the back of an ambulance. There was a covering over Pearsall’s chest before revealing the amount of blood coming out following the shooting.

The good news is that Pearsall is alive following the incident and was able to get into an ambulance despite having some assistance. No specifics have been released regarding an exact injury for Pearsall as he remains in the hospital.

San Francisco 49ers release statement on Ricky Pearsall shooting

San Francisco police have released an initial statement on the robbery-gone-bad that resulted in San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall getting shot on Saturday afternoon.

The police arrived on scene after reports of a shooting, locating Pearsall and the assailant at the scene. Both men were treated by paramedics before being sent to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

“Upon arrival, officers located two male subjects suffering from injuries. Officers rendered aid and medics transported both subjects to a local hospital for further medical evaluation,” the statement said. “During the preliminary investigation, officers learned one of the subjects attempted to rob the victim, San Francisco 49ers player Ricky Pearsall. During the attempted robbery, a physical altercation ensued, and both the suspect and victim were injured. The suspect is in custody and charges are pending at this time. All information is preliminary, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.”
