For North Carolina, it’s been an emotional season, largely thanks to the passing of Tylee Craft, a former player on the team who had been battling cancer.
Meanwhile, Wake Forest enters the game against North Carolina at 4-5 with a 2-3 record in ACC play. Unlike the Tar Heels, the Demon Deacons aren’t coming off a bye week and lost their most recent game. That was a 46-36 thriller against Cal. Prior to that, however, Wake Forest had won two games in a row.
For North Carolina, bowl eligibility is on the line in this game. Meanwhile, Wake Forest is looking to keep its odds of making a bowl alive. The Demon Deacons need to win two of their final three games to get there and that likely means pulling off at least one upset with Miami coming up in a week.
