Washington WR Rome Odunze declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Washington star receiver Rome Odunze has made a decision on his future. Odunze is going to the NFL Draft, per Pete Thamel.
Rome Odunze had an incredible junior season, catching 81 passes for 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named a Biletnikoff Award finalist, joining LSU‘s Malik Nabers and Ohio State‘s Marvin Harrison Jr.
Odunze was the favorite target of Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who was named a Heisman finalist this season.
Those two are a big reason why the Huskies reached the College Football Playoff in 2023 and won the Pac-12.
Rome Odunze signed with Washington as a four-star recruit in the class of 2020. He was ranked the No. 185 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Industry rankings.
Odunze played all four games in 2020 as a freshman, finishing with six catches for 72 yards. He took a step forward as a sophomore in 2021, catching 41 passes for 415 yards and four scores.
The Las Vegas native then had a breakout season in 2022, catching 75 passes for 1,145 yards and seven scores. He took his game to another level this season, putting up incredible stats while being named a Biletnikoff Award finalist and helping Washington to the College Football Playoff.
