WATCH: AJ Dillon blows up Kenosha Kingfish mascot at minor league baseball game
AJ Dillon had a breakout season in 2021 as the Green Bay Packers’ backup running back. With 1,116 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns, he was a nice compliment for Aaron Rodgers. The combo of he and Aaron Jones in the backfield was one of the best in the NFL. In a recent public appearance, though, he may have convinced Matt LaFleur that he could be a help for the Packers on defense.
Dillon appeared at the Kenosha Kingfish’ Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday. Elvis, the Kingfish’s mascot, surprisingly decided it was a good idea to lineup against the 250 pound running back in an Oklahoma drill. Dillon ended Elvis’ idea quickly, though, by absolutely annihilating the mascot.
While you could also argue it’s an effective stiff arm for a running back, this is Dillon’s unintentional audition to join Joe Barry’s defense. Either way, let this serve as a warning to NFL players and, unfortunately, mascots alike. Getting in Dillon’s way is now a venture to be done at one’s own risk.
LOOK: Packers stars celebrate World Bicycle Day in style
The NFL OTA’s are not just for learning on the practice field before the start of the season. They are also meant to make connections with your teammates and have little fun in the process. And that is what the Green Bay Packers did on Friday while celebrating World Bike Day. To celebrate the day, a few of the Packers offensive stars rolled into OTA’s in fashion.

In the picture below, you can see Green Bay’s one-two punch in the backfield, running backs AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones, riding into work.
The Packers are gearing up for the 2022 season with the same familiar faces in the backfield but a few new ones at wide receiver. The Packers will be without two of their top receiving threats from the 2021 season after trading Davante Adams to the Raiders and allowing Marquez Valdes-Scantling to walk in free agency. In their place, Green Bay has added Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure in this year’s draft. Despite the changes, the Packers locked up reigning two-time MVP, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, for the foreseeable future this offseason.
