WATCH: Micah Parsons showcases sideline antics against Washington
It’s no secret that Micah Parsons is one of the best defenders in the NFL. He consistently makes plays for the Dallas Cowboys’ defense, and his name is one of the most well-respected at the defensive end and linebacker positions.
How does he always perform at a high level? It’s probably because he works out on the sideline during games.
During Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team, he was caught on video doing push-ups on the Cowboys’ sideline. The NFL used the caption, “Micah Parsons is different” with a laughing emoji in their tweet that included the video.
Parsons has been performing at a very high level in 2021, as he had registered 67 total tackles and 10 sacks coming into Sunday. The rookie out of Penn State has again been producing against Washington – having tallied two tackles and two sacks by halftime.
Dallas leads Washington 24-0 at the break.
WATCH: Micah Parsons forces fumble leading to Cowboys touchdown vs. Washington
Micah Parsons has continued his monstrous rookie season for the Dallas Cowboys. On Sunday against the Washington Football Team, Parsons sacked Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Heinicke fumbled the ball, resulting in a touchdown for the Cowboys.
Parsons got right through the Washington offensive line, quickly getting to Heinicke. Upon reaching Heinicke, he delivered a crushing hit, forcing him to lose the ball. The ball then bounced away, and Dorance Armstrong recovered, returning it for a touchdown. The score gave Dallas an 18-0 lead.

On the next offensive possession for Washington, Parsons got into the backfield yet again for his second sack of the day. That sack forced fourth down for Washington, giving Dallas the ball back.
Parsons is showing no signs of slowing down for the Cowboys
The Cowboys have dealt with a plethora of injuries on the defensive side of the ball this season. Dallas hasn’t been fully healthy on the defensive line most of the season, forcing Parsons to play more up front that he traditionally would as a linebacker. But Parsons thrived in that role, and now that the team is healthy, Parsons is able to play freely at multiple positions throughout games.
While Parsons has had a great year for the Cowboys, he isn’t ready for it to end, and he wants to achieve a lot more than just individual accolades. He wants the Cowboys to win a Super Bowl.
“The Super Bowl, playoffs, you got five games left,” he said. “There’s stuff to be done … I don’t think it’s time for me to sit on my couch, smiling, eating Cheetos. I’m trying to do something way bigger than anybody thought we could do this year.”
