WATCH: Former Ole Miss star Marquis Haynes with a big man scoop-and-score for Panthers
The Carolina Panthers just started their divisional matchup with the New Orleans Saints with a bang.
In the middle of the first quarter, the Panther’s defense forced a fumble from Saints running back Alvin Kamara. It landed right in front of DE Marquis Haynes who scooped it up for a touchdown return.
The former Ole Miss star is in his fifth year with Carolina. Haynes had only totaled seven tackles through the Panther’s first two games. However, this is one flashy way for him to get in the box score and put his team up on the scoreboard early against New Orleans.
Carolina Panthers: Inactives for Week 3 against New Orleans Saints
With an 0-2 start, the Carolina Panthers are in need of a big win today against the New Orleans Saints. The team is dealing with a few injuries, though, that could affect their ability to get that done based on their updated inactive list.

The biggest news is that Christian McCaffrey is now an official go for today’s game against the Saints. After being listed earlier this week due to rest and stiffness in his ankle, he was removed from the list Friday and will play this afternoon.
However, the Panthers will be missing a piece on the offense with Terrance Marshall Jr. being listed as inactive today. The absence of the former LSU receiver leaves room for more targets amongst the corps of DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Shi Smith, Rashard Higgins, and Laviska Shenault Jr.
Carolina Panthers Inactives:
- RB Raheem Blackshear
- LB Arron Mosby
- OL Cade Mays
- DT Phil Hoskins
- WR Terrace Marshall Jr.
- DE Amaré Barno
New Orleans Saints Inactives:
- G Wyatt Davis
- WR Deonte Harty
- QB Taysom Hill
- RB Tony Jones Jr.
- S Marcus Maye
With the Saints dealing with some injuries of their own, this is a home game that the Panthers need both in the conference and in the division. With how this injury report shook out, they may be able to do just that in Bank of America Stadium later today.
