Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert showed off his arm strength on this 65-yard touchdown pass Sunday against the Giants. With several defenders chasing him, Herbert launched a pass 65 yards to Jalen Guyton to score right before halftime.

The Chargers entered the break with a 24-7 advantage thanks to Herbert’s pass to Guyton. It was the second touchdown pass of the game for Justin Herbert. He would later add a third in the second half With nine minutes left in the fourth quarter, he is 23-of-31 passing for 275 yards.

Los Angeles added a pair of field goals and a touchdown in the second half and leads the New York Giants by score of 37-7. Should the Chargers hang on to win, they would improve to 8-5 on the season. A victory would also move them just one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC West division lead.

The Chargers and Chiefs are set to play each other next week. Los Angeles won the first meeting of the season by score of 30-24 on a late touchdown pass from Herbert.

The 2020 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Herbert has continued to impress this season. He is currently tied with Kirk Cousins for third in the NFL in touchdown passes with 27. His 3,547 yards passing rank fifth.

The Chargers missed the playoffs in 2020, but the former first round pick has them in position to snap a two-year drought this year. Should Los Angeles win Sunday, it will have already surpassed its win total from last season. The Chargers are currently the fifth seed in the AFC, set to take on Baltimore in the first round.

The matchup between the Chiefs and Chargers next week will be highly anticipated, with Herbert set to duel it out with Patrick Mahomes. Kickoff for that contest is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday.
