The 2022 NBA Playoffs are in full swing and on Saturday night, things were getting heated. First, Minnesota forward Karl-Anthony Towns threw down a monster dunk over Jaren Jackson. Towns has been one of the most complete players in the league for quite some time and tonight, he decided to take matters into his own hands, barrel down the land and send in an epic dunk over Jackson, one of the best shot blockers in the league.

Check that out below.

The former Kentucky star has been a superstar ever since he set foot in the NBA in 2015 and it’s been no surprise to anyone who’s followed his career throughout the years. Following the monster jam, Jackson not only got posterized, but got a technical foul for pushing Jaden McDaniels after the play. The game was televised on ESPN.

Minnesota won tonight’s game, 130-117 to steal game 1 of the series in Memphis. While Jackson might have been posterized on that play, he still had seven blocks in tonight’s game and he currently leads the league in the stat category. He has already set the Memphis Grizzlies franchise record tonight with the most blocks in a single game.

Patrick Beverly put on a show for the Timberwolves, stuffing the stat sheet with 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists in tonight’s game. Towns poured in a double-double, chipping in 29 points and 13 rebounds, while also dishing out three assists. Anthony Edwards has played to his usual superstar form for the Timberwolves, erupting for 36 points in his first playoff performance tonight. He also dished out six assists in the upset victory for Minnesota.

Surprisingly, Towns took home the three-point contest championship at the 2022 NBA All-Star weekend. The big man scored a final round record of 29 points to bring home the trophy. Towns has been named to the All-Star team three times in his impressive NBA career thus far (2018, 2019, and 2022).
