It seems like every year there’s yet another new item that a winning football coach gets showered with. There’s been Cheez-Its, mayonnaise, french fries, and after today you can add Reese Cups to the list.
After the National Team won the Senior Bowl 20-10 this afternoon, the players doused their head coach, New York Jets tight ends coach Ron Middleton, with Reese cups and Gatorade.
Check it out below.
Middleton gave an epic pre-game speech that made the rounds on social media this afternoon. A few media outlets across the country wrote about it.

It was a great move by the coaches at the Senior Bowl to allow more of the NFL assistants to have a bit more authority and responsibility in Mobile. The Senior Bowl is not only a great way for fans to get a glimpse of the future NFL stars, but to get a better look at some of the NFL assistants that might not have as much visibility.
Key performers at the Senior Bowl
Liberty quarterback Malik Willis shined and in a big way at the Senior Bowl, showing off his electrifying running ability in the open field.
Scouts and coaches alike raved about the play all week by Oklahoma defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey, who was named the Senior Bowl MVP on Saturday. He had five tackles and two sacks in the game, including a pretty hard hit on Western Kentucky’s Bailey Zappe.

The former Sooner defensive lineman likely boosted his draft stock more than anyone else all week, according to a number of reports.
Speaking of Western Kentucky, the American Team MVP was defensive end DeAngelo Malone, who led his team with six tackles, 0.5 sacks, and two quarterback hurries. He also had a really nice bull rush in the game on Northern Iowa’s Trevor Penning.
Northern Iowa’s offensive tackle, Trevor Penning, dominated all week during practices and drills. Penning is 6-foot-7, 330-pounds and showed his nastiness throughout the week. He’s got the mean streak that coaches look for. Simply put, he dominated everybody he went up against during drills and practices this week at the Senior Bowl. Malone’s bull rush move was one of the few plays where he struggled.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah also revealed his 10 winners from Senior Bowl Week if you wanted to take a look. It’ll be exciting to track all the former college stars throughout the scouting process up to the 2022 NFL Draft.
