WATCH: Steelers fake field goal goes wrong, kicker shaken up
Prior to this week’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, Mike Tomlin had been praised. A fantastic head coach, his name connected with rumors of the USC Trojans job — which he vehemently denied.
Tomlin isn’t looking to leave the Steelers, but he made a decision that could get others coaches fired. On 4th-and-9 in the redzone, Tomlin decided to dial up the fake field goal.
Well, that went about as well as expected. The Steelers attempted to fake out the Browns, and Cleveland was prepared. The result was one of the uglier fakes that you’ll ever see.
To add insult to injury, Steelers kicker Chris Boswell was shaken up on the play. In one fell swoop, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost three points and possibly their kicker for the rest of the day.
More on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
The Pittsburgh Steelers are out for revenge on Sunday. After the Cleveland Browns waltzed into Heinz Field and defeated the Steelers in last season’s playoffs, Ben Roethlisberger and company are looking for a huge win in Cleveland.

Both teams need a victory, as the AFC North is competitive as ever. Not only are the usual suspects looking good this season, but the Cincinnati Bengals have ascended to the top of the division. The Browns and the Steelers are looking to keep pace.
In his career, Roethlisberger has owned the Browns. However, these aren’t your father’s Browns — this is a Cleveland team that’s proven to be a force to be reckoned with. As Baker Mayfield battles through injury, the quarterbacks may be non-factors today.
To win today, the Steelers may have to rely on running back Najee Harris and their defense. If Pittsburgh can keep Mayfield uncomfortable, they have a great shot at leaving victorious.
Currently, the two teams are still embroiled in an defensive struggle — tied 3-3 in the third quarter.
