WATCH: Tua Tagovailoa joins rare company with game-winning touchdown to Jaylen Waddle
Tua Tagovailoa just put on a special performance in the Miami Dolphin’s 42-38 win over the Baltimore Ravens this afternoon. For one, he put together what was nearly an NFL record performance. For two, he did it with his former Alabama teammate on the receiving end.
Tagovailoa found Jaylen Waddle in the end zone with just seconds remaining to give Miami their first lead of the day against Lamar Jackson and Baltimore. It was the duo’s second touchdown connection of the day.
That gave Tagovailoa his sixth touchdown of the game with two to Tyreek Hill, one to Mike Gesicki, and one to River Cracraft. Add it all up and it gave the former Crimson Tide QB and Top-5 pick one of the best touchdown performances in NFL history with a tie for the second most in a game all-time. It also tied a Dolphins franchise record for the most touchdowns in a game shared by Dan Marino, Bob Griese and, now, Tagovailoa.
The first two games of the Mike McDaniel era have worked wonders for Tagovailoa. He now has 739 yards and seven touchdowns on a 70.9% completion rate over two wins versus the Patriots and Ravens.

WATCH: Minkah Fitzpatrick picks off Mac Jones in Steelers vs Patriots
Two weeks, two picks for Pittsburgh Steelers ball-hawking safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to begin the 2022 season. This week it at the expense of fellow Alabama alum and New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.
Jones got hit as he threw the ball and you can watch as Fitzpatrick jumps a deep ball intended for DeVante Parker and hauled in the impressive interception.
The pick is Fitzpatrick’s second interception of the season, the first coming in the season-opener against the Cincinnati Bengals where he picked off Joe Burrow for a touchdown. The Steelers defense forced five turnovers, including four interceptions in the winning effort.
